It all started with Ola, a Nigerian native who came to the United States to play basketball. When he arrived, his coach told him he needed new shoes. Only then did he realize he had been wearing shoes three sizes too small because that was all his family could afford back in Nigeria. With the right shoes, his game improved drastically, leading to more than 35 NCAA Division One Basketball scholarship offers & interest.
That moment sparked a mission: Empowering African youth through sports and education.
Today, United Sports of Africa provides in-kind donations of athletic shoes and equipment, organizes basketball camps, and promotes education for youths. By empowering young athletes, we are opening doors to opportunity, confidence, and a brighter future.
